Srila Prabhupada was always forcing us to become internal and not to become dependent upon external results for pleasing the spiritual master. If we are internal in the execution of our service, if we always meditating on the pleasure of guru and Krsna, and we don’t want to take any benefit for ourselves, then reciprocation is there. The spiritual master is the representative of Krsna and Srila Prabhupada is the external manifestation of Supersoul. Therefore by pleasing him, we can understand that the Supersoul within the heart is also pleased and reciprocation is there.
